Learn more about Sequim
Bathed in unusual sunshine for the Pacific Northwest, this small city thrives in a 'blue hole' rain shadow that makes it America's lavender capital. Fields of purple blooms invite picking your own fragrant bouquet during summer festivals. The Dungeness National Wildlife Refuge offers remarkable coastal hiking, while the spit itself stretches dramatically into the strait. Kayaking reveals hidden coves along the rugged shoreline. After outdoor adventures, sample the area's namesake Dungeness crab - sweeter and more delicate than its crustacean cousins. Locals pronounce it 'SKWIM' (one syllable), and they'll happily direct you to u-pick berry farms where buckets quickly fill with summer's bounty. The Museum and Art Centre showcases the region's unique climate and cultural heritage.

Olympic Railway Inn
"Overall, it's a cute and unique place for a one-night stay since there is no kitchen and no closet. But for a railroad car, you can't expect that much. Stuff is good and responsive."
Ocean Star Inn
"Beds were very comfortable!!"
Great House Motel
"Room was pretty big and price quite low for the area. Had fridge and microwave which I did not expect. Daughter complained about towels with marks on them. Otehrwise, it was OK."

Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites NORTH SEQUIM by IHG
"Great clean property"
Sequim West Inn
"My daughter was delighted that this hotel still had metal keys to open the door. The room was charming and clean. There were laundry facilities on-site. The shower and water pressure were great."
Dungeness Bay Cottages
"Sequim is a delightful place to visit and stay. Easy drive to Olympic National Park, and Port Angeles if you want to take a ferry. This property was great. We enjoyed the charming decor in our cozy cottage. Any questions that we had were answered quickly via the chat system. There was a little private beach area we could visit easily and we enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking at the National Park. It was not an issue for us, but the listing and photo when I booked described that our cottage had a bed and a sleeper sofa. There wasn't a sleeper sofa, and our cottage was perfect for the two of us but would not have been comfortable with any more people in it. The property does have larger cottages as well. You should definitely consider it."
