8/10 Very good

great stay for 2
We had a wonderful stay at this little hotel! Initially we were thrown off that you leave your room key with the front desk when you go out, but with a 24/7 front desk we actually found this to be really nice since we didn’t have to keep track of an extra item while out of exploring. This system also allows for housekeeping to know when you’re not there, and they came in daily to take out trash and straighten up our beds and nightstands although I don’t think sheets were changed on our 4 night stay that was not a high priority for us. Our toilet stopped working on our first day, and they fixed it without needing anything else from us the next time we ran out to eat. Very walkable to the Paral-lel Metro station, and thus we were able to get anywhere we wanted in the city. The extra blankets in the closet were a little raggedy, but luckily we had 60-70° degree weather and the comforter on the bed was completely adequate at night. There was also a small mounted TV that we could sign in to our own Netflix during our down time and wifi was great no issues there. On that note, there is definitely moderate noise from the street below but we were able to sleep just fine. Shower curtain fell twice and startled us, but it is just a normal tension rod so we were able to put back up without issue. Overall a really comfortable stay for this price range and getting to stay at a hotel vs a hostel, and would stay again when visiting Barcelona!

Only able to have lights on in the room if the fan is working. Its a combined switch and it was too cold with the fan, to switch off meant no lights in the room or bathroom. Quite dangerous in the night.

4/10 Fair

Tiny, decrepit room with inattentive housekeeping
We were in a 3-bed room. The need to sleep 3 adults was the reason to choose that hotel - nothing in the area offered suites or other options to sleep 3. That was a mistake. The room is so tiny that 3 suitcases took up most of the walking space. The bathroom sink was slow to drain. The hotel staff responded by completely removing sink stopper assembly, so a small thing went down the drain when dropped into the sink the same evening. Everything wooden in the bathroom is worn out and rotting away. On the 2nd day, only 2 sets if towels were left in the room with 3 occupants. Fortunately, the attendant on duty found a spare, though housekeeping staff was already gone for the day around 6pm, by his own words.

Stayed here between June 6 to 9 this year. The hotel looks to be an old establishment. There were some missing patches of paint on the walls, the drains in the sink and tub were a bit slow in drainage. I also discovered some bed bug bites on my arms, legs, and my face the day we were leaving.

A basic budget hotel.
A basic European hotel, small room, full bed, shower (no tub). A small elevator, but you need to walk up 3-4 steps to get to the elevator. Barcelona transit station a couple blocks away. Bed was firmer than I like.

Very friendly place
The staff are very lovely, and I felt great staying there being a trans woman. A pity the cafeteria had no license when I was there. It's hopefully changing soon! However, the location is so central that you can just walk out the door and get a coffee in one of the countless bakeries and tapas bars around

The hotel was overall basic in its facilities, but clean with comfortable beds. Location is relatively convenient for walking or taking the metro to most central attractions in Barcelona. Downsides were: - Sink in bathroom clearly suffered from clogging. A tradesman associated with the hotel did attempt to fix this, with some success, but it appeared clear that the problem is likely to return quite quickly. The receptionist whom I had mentioned this problem to was unapologetic about the fact the sink was in such condition. - The receptionist was unwilling to commit to arranging for the clearing of the sink, and at least in my time at the desk she did not make a note in writing of the problem. It was therefore probably only by way of good luck that the tradesman working for the hotel had a good work ethic. - Related to the above issue, when I asked about changing the room to one where the sink drained adequately, I was given inconsistent information by different receptionists, leading to confusion and it becoming impossible to make the change. - As many other guests have commented the practice of obliging guests to give their key back to reception everytime they leave the hotel is very unusual and difficult to understand. The practice does not even seem to make access to the rooms more secure, because my friend returned home one evening to find that a complete stranger was asleep in his bed!
