Learn more about Tropea
Dramatic cliffs plunge into the Tyrrhenian Sea's impossible blue, creating a postcard setting that feels almost too perfect. The historic centre reveals centuries of stories through stone churches and sun-drenched piazzas where locals gather for evening passeggiata. Santa Maria dell'Isola Monastery sits majestically on its rocky perch, rewarding the climb with views that explain why this was named 'Most beautiful village in Italy' in 2021. Between swims at pristine beaches like Riaci, sample the town's famous red onions and fiery 'nduja sausage at family-run trattorias. The Diocesan Museum offers cultural immersion, but the real Calabrian education happens at pavement cafés where time slows to the perfect Mediterranean pace.

La Dolce Vita a Tropea
"Wow. We had an incredible stay at La Dolce Vita. The staff helped coordinate transportation from their off location parking lot to the hotel, and upon entering the hotel we were met with the most beautiful view of the Sea as well as glasses of prosecco. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful with all of our needs - beach club daybeds/umbrellas, restaurant reservations, transportation, extra towels, and anything else we needed. We had delicious breakfasts and beautiful aperitivo out on the balcony with the best sunset views in Tropea. The ONLY drawback is the lack of parking onsite and that there is no elevator, so you may have to carry your bags up a few flights of stairs. We loved our stay and will absolutely be back."
Solmaris Tropea - Rooms & Suites
"I can definetely recommend this place. Nice modern room with a great bathroom and a beautiful balcony. Close to the main streets. Staff of the afternoon was ok, but not so nice. The lady in the morning was more warm. Breakfast ok with enough options. You are not gonna regret it!"
MIDDLE TOWN PALACE TROPEA
"A fantastic hotel outside the city center, ensuring peace and quiet. Daily housekeeping service. Air conditioning in the rooms. Super comfortable beds. Delicious Italian-style breakfasts."
