My wife checked into the room and found it disgusting. There was underwear on the bathroom floor, hair all over the floor and toilet.
Carpet was not vacuumed, she could write her name in the dust on the safe.
The chairs were dirty and stained. The refrigerator was not cleaned (crumbs and stains).
Lamp shades were broken, hallways were not vacuumed.
She asked to speak to the manager, the women at the front desk went to a back room where my wife heard the guy say "tell her there is no one available".
And the sign indicates a manager on site 24/7.
Additionally, there was peeling paint, ceiling water damage, and dirt/dust/paint flecks on the air conditioner/heater.
So my wife asked for her money back and was told because it was booked through a 3rd party, she needed to contact them for reimbursement.
In the many decades we have traveled and stayed at hotels, this was magnitudes more terrible than anywhere else.
We also learned, after the fact, that this Baymont hotel by Wyndham is independently owned and not affiliated with Baymont. How can they use their name? Very misleading.
Now, for all future stays at any hotel, we will need to dig deeper into the specific one we choose. Very disappointing to the point of frustration.
