Prinzhotel Rothenburg
"The hotel was lovely, very clean, and in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay. We contacted the hotel beforehand to ask about air conditioning and were told they did not offer AC. Our first night was very hot, and after complaining a few times, we requested an additional fan. The next morning, we were able to upgrade for an additional fee to a room with AC, which they do have in some rooms, and we were very happy with the upgrade. I believe there may have been a language barrier, so if AC is important to you, I recommend being very clear when booking and confirming that your specific room has air conditioning."
Hotel Merian Rothenburg
"Clean room No A/C, we only got lucky with that as it was mid summer. Breakfast included and it was good. Enjoyed that. 5-10 min walk to town center."
Hotel Goldener Hirsch
"Excellent hotel in a great location. Strong A/C, large bathroom. Cool game room in the lobby, breakfast included. Simon from the staff was super accommodating and went above and beyond to make sure we had great time in the town."
Hotel Eisenhut
"Great location in heart of old town. Staff was super friendly and helpful"
Romantik Hotel Markusturm
"A Magical Storybook Stay at Romantik Hotel Markusturm in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany Staying at the Romantik Hotel Markusturm in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany felt like stepping directly into a fairytale. From its historic medieval charm to its extraordinary hospitality, this unforgettable hotel made our visit to Germany truly special. Situated right in the heart of the historic center steps away from the iconic Markusturm tower, the location couldn't have been more perfect for exploring the town. What truly set this stay apart was the remarkable customer service, especially from Lilo, who was absolute sweetness personified. Even though the hotel doors are typically locked at 10:00 PM, she personally stayed after hours past midnight just to greet us and ensure we checked in smoothly. Being welcomed with such genuine warmth after our late-night arrival touched us deeply and set the tone for the rest of our time there. The hotel itself seamlessly blends rich history with modern luxury, featuring an exposed stone wall that is part of the original structure dating back hundreds of years. Walking through the corridors and room felt like living inside history, yet every modern comfort was thoughtfully integrated into the design. Our room was stunningly beautiful, featuring a classic seating area with plush armchairs, a standing fan, an in-room safe, and a spacious built-in closet with ample hangers and a luggage bench."
Hotel Rothenburger Hof
"The hotel was great and in a good place for walking. The only downfall is the location is on a corner where people were racing in cars all night and throwing bottles in the road. Many police car sirens during the night. It was hard to sleep with the noise."
Hotel Herrnschloesschen
"Perfectly located and full of ambience little hotel. We had room #6 on the second floor with a view of the old cathedral and one of the picturesque streets. All is though, from easy valet parking upon arrival, to ample breakfast, and all the necessary small things in the room and the bathroom one can think of. The staff consists of just a few people who are all very pleasant and helpful. Unless you come during the worst heat wave, it is hard to think of a better place to stay in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. A word of warning to our fellow A/C addicted Americans. A/C is only available in a couple of suites, not in all the rooms. We resorted to what is called "Bavarian A/C": keeping heavy curtains closed all day and fully opening windows in the middle of the night so that the relatively cool night air comes in. It worked on days when temperatures were max 86-88F (under 30C). Lucky us! If we were to come in the following days, when another heat wave was around 96F, we would be "cooked"."
Hotel Sonne
"Staff was wonderful. Location is perfect. Our room did not have air conditioning, just a fan. But, would still stay here again."
Flair Hotel Weinstube Lochner
"Sehr freundliches und kompetentes Personal, sehr saubere Unterkunft, der Pool hatte eine angenehme Temperatur, das Frühstücksbüffet war umfangreich und war insbesondere mit hochwertigen Wurstwaren bestückt, die Brötchenauswahl war vielfältig und die Brötchen waren Bäckerware"
