Amazing stay!

We travel often to see family or go to functions. Our stay in Owego was one the the best stays we’ve ever had! Room was clean, beds were very comfortable, bathroom had grab bars (which for a disabled person, it’s a major plus). The breakfast had great choices. Highly recommend it

Our checkin was very nice. The lady was kind. Hotel room was good, but bathroom shower and walls could use a major cleaning. Breakfast was not good. Biscuits were dry as well as the sausage. The signs posted in all caps seemed unprofessional and passive aggressive. Not very inviting to eat. The lady filling things wasn't friendly. Good area to stay due to quietness, the river behind, and friendly checkin and check out.

We have nut and sesame allergies in our family. I was pretty disappointed to see an almond-based soap bar in the bathroom, as well as a sesame-based skin lotion. It made it unsafe for us, and it would make it unsafe for others in the same situation. Please consider using safer products. Thank you.

They charged us $75 fee for pets, which was unexpected. After being surprised by the additional charge, the staff was rude to us. The room has loud air conditioning systems. We asked to change the room, but the second room has similar issues. At the end we decided to not change the room but just leave the air conditioning off. Breakfast was okay. We didn't get the room with the river view.

Major security concern and outdated

The staff was friendly but the property needs a major overhaul! Even a fresh coat of white paint in the lobby instead of that dark wood! Everything was so outdated we even had a CD player in our room, also not enough outlets to charge our electronics - obviously pre-internet. The housekeeper did our bed but left our used washcloths in the bathtub. But we had a major security concern - our room was so far from the elevator that we had to park around the hotel to access our room by going up a flight. The problem is that both doors to get in were always open and DID NOT need a room key to open them. We got back one night after midnight and the doors were unlocked! That is a major security concern and for that I would never return.
