2/10 Poor

Terrible ‘check in’
I booked through a travel website thinking Amabilia was a regular hotel. When I arrived on the site I could not find the hotel. The phone numbers listed on the website were not working. Booking site did not explain there was no reception or staff on site. I wondered back and forth around the block looking for any sign of the hotel and asked all the shop owners on the very busy block, literally across from the Duomo if they knew where the hotel was and no one knew! After about an hour and a half one kind merchant managed to dig up a working phone line then another hour before someone showed up to help me find this obscure flat.

I loved my stay at Amabilia. It felt like an oasis in the middle of a bustling area. The location can't be beat and my room was quiet, comfortable and relaxing. It was like having a private apartment in the center of Milan. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

Best place to stay in Milan and I'll tell you why
The Amabilia Suites consist of 4 apartments, three of which directly face the Milan Duomo. I've done a lot of research and am unaware of any other place in Milan that has this breathtaking view! One could easily spend hours looking at the Duomo from the opened window. You can also look at the Duomo from the bed. With the window opened, you hear the activities of the square that faces the Duomo, which is fun and engaging. If you want quiet, the window is remarkably sound-proofed, and you won't be disturbed by any noise. The apartment has a very pleasing, modern interior. It is quite large and has a large bathroom. The bed is very comfortable. Room service is provided on a daily basis. The apartment is steps away from the metro, making it very convenient and easy to get around the city. Also steps away are many restaurants, cafes, and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, an elegant shopping center built in the 19th century. We had a delightful three day stay at the Amabilia Suites. Be sure to reserve a room with a view of the Duomo! It is expensive but worth every penny.

We stayed at Amabilia Suites to start off our honeymoon and we were not disappointed. We requested the La Scala suite, which had the most incredible view of the Duomo so needless to say the location could not be beat. There are so many great restaurants and things to do in the area. We will be recommending Amabilia Suites to all of our friends and family, and plan to book another stay if and when we return to Milan. Thank you Valentina and Tomasso for such a pleasant experience! -Dianne and Joseph

Amazing location with view of the Duomo Cathedral. Extremely modern spacious suite with antique touches. The antique lift is wonderful to bring luggage up to the suite. The common area is beautiful. Great communication through WhatsApp with host. The suite is extremely quiet with the shutters & black out drapes. Radio Italia was in the Duomo Square the night we stayed & we had a great view of the concert.

2/10 Poor

The view of the Duomo is spectacular. The room is nice. But this is not a great experience. Amateur Airbnb. There were several issues from the multiple reach outs to confirm and reconfirm and of what time we will be arriving and reconfirm (need to have someone meet you because there is no one at the actual property) to strange meeting places (in front of the Vodafone on the street) to the room not being ready on time (after 3 confirmations including 30 min before arrival yet the room wasn’t ready! Cleaning lady working around us!) But really what was disappointing was the 3x in the middle of the night I kept resetting the air conditioner which had the green light blinking on/off keeping me up. Wanted to open the windows but no screen, so you contend w/bugs. Still we tried to put those issues aside the next day we called and asked that they fix the ac and clean the room as we left early in the am for the days activities. Ok they said. Tired and ready to relax, we arrived back at 3 (6 hrs later) to an ac still not working and a room that was not made up. It was too late, we couldn’t risk 2 bad nights; so we left. They asked me to speak to two different managers. Forgive me but I really don’t want to spend precious vacation time continuing to explain what you did wrong but I did, and at the end was willing to only half the money owed for the second night and they declined and refused refund. Quick to take our $ but not be on time, clean the room or fix the ac.

8/10 Very good

Very quiet spacious room on the 4th floor of an old building (with very cool tiny old elevator). Felt very safe. Nice modern decor. Bed was fine; pillows were flimsy flat rectangles but I was alone so stacked 3 together. No screens in windows and there were mosquitoes, so on my 80 degree day in early April this top floor was really hot and stuffy with no AC, which isn’t active until 4/15. They nicely brought me 2 fans but this was not enough. Responsive management and good location to see Duomo, LaScala, castle and shopping but 3 nights in that area was more than enough. It’s really crowded and hectic.

Our stay at this property was absolutely fantastic! The location, right in front of the Duomo, is truly amazing, allowing us to explore Milan on foot without relying on any transportation. Moreover, for travelers using the airport, there's a convenient metro entrance just across the street. The room was nothing short of awesome, giving us the feeling of living in an exclusive apartment. We highly recommend this accommodation for an unforgettable experience in Milan!

8/10 Very good

Ideal location in the heart of Milan, views are stunning from the apartment, remote staff are friendly and helpful. Note however there is no reception, the building is managed by a very rude and unfriendly attendant. The suites are on the 4th floor, you get there using an ancient elevator. Location is good but there is no signage anywhere to show how to get there or even if that is the correct building. Warm I ally of you have big bags and need to lift them up, it’s easier to look elsewhere with staff on site.

The design of the suites was top notch, the room is large, and the view is gorgeous. There are only 4 suites, 3 of which overlook the Duomo Cathedral. conveniently located a minute away from the metro and from all the best shopping areas in Milan. A few minutes walk from La Scala, Via Montenapoleone, Via Durini,Via Dante among others. The amenities were great, Ferragamo shower gel and shampoo, water, coffee capsules and tea replenished daily. the suites were very quiet. Although we overlooked the busiest location in Milan, once you close the window, you can barely hear anything.

Not typical but Overall very nice.
There is no front desk or anything to check in when you get to the location and it is on the 4th floor of the building with a rather small elevator that was added after the building was constructed so it’s a little strange. But we arrived in the morning and when we called they allowed us to store our luggage in a nearby sister hotel. Got our room for us by noon as we were exhausted from the long trip. There is a common living room area shared by all guests which is nice actually as it gives you more room. The room itself is very nice with welcome gifts of chocolate and cookies. A lot of space in the room and overall it was very nice. The individual that checked us in was very accommodating and took time to show us everything and answer all of our questions. Customer service was very good and the room was very clean and roomy. Located right across from the Duomo and shopping and restaurants. Great location.
