The El Paso Holocaust Museum is one of the top-rated attractions in West El Paso. Another excellent museum in this neighborhood is the El Paso Museum of Art. It has a huge permanent collection of over 5,000 pieces, which features many famous European artists such as Canaletto. As well as this, they also have contemporary art exhibitions based on regional artists. If you want to experience some spectacular panoramas, take a ride on the Wyler Aerial Tramway. The gondola takes you up to the top of Ranger Peak, an astounding 5,362 feet above sea level. There is a cable car assistant to guide you along the way, and when you reach the top you’ll find the 360-degree viewing platform. Here you can enjoy breathtaking panoramas across three different states.

West El Paso is a fantastic choice if you’re traveling with children. For a fun-packed day, you can take a trip to Bob-O’s Family Fun Center. It has loads of activities available, such as miniature golf and laser tag. Just a short drive from here you’ll find the Western Playland Amusement Park, which features dozens of rides. West El Paso also presents the perfect opportunity to enjoy the remarkable Texan countryside. You can take a hike in the Franklin Mountains State Park, with the Thousand Steps Trail providing a magnificent scenic view of El Paso and the surrounding area.

How to get to West El Paso

If you’re driving, the main interstate in El Paso is the I-10, which connects El Paso to cities such as Phoenix in the west, and San Antonio in the east. When traveling from further afield, you can catch a domestic flight to El Paso International Airport. The airport is less than 10 miles away, so it only takes around 15 minutes to reach your West El Paso hotel by car. There’s also an Amtrak station in downtown El Paso that serves two lines: Sunset Limited and Texas Eagle. From the station it’s only a short drive to neighboring West El Paso.
