Learn more about Austrian Alps

Austrian Alps is well known for its top attractions such as Achensee, Obergurgl-Hochgurgl Ski Area and Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.

The next time you are anywhere even close to Austria you have to promise to visit Aqua Dome in Längenfeld. This is one of the most incredible places I have ever been! Highly, HIGHLY recommend. A word of warning though, some of the sections are designated nude only. ;)

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel near Austrian Alps

  1. Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit the Austrian Alps is during May, October, and November, when hotel prices are notably lower. For a budget-friendly trip, a stay of at least 3 to 4 days is recommended to fully experience key historical and cultural landmarks in the area. Visitors can explore a range of attractions, including charming castles, captivating museums, and beautiful national parks. These months may offer great value for money, as prices could drop, allowing you to enjoy the stunning scenery and rich heritage without breaking the bank.
  2. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals in the Austrian Alps, visit the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. To maximise your savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for updates on flash sales and special promotions. Moreover, the Smart Shopping tool available via the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you could find the best options. This way, you'll be promptly informed if room availability changes or prices drop, enhancing your chances of securing a great hotel deal.
  3. Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you save on your stay near a hotel in the Austrian Alps. For those seeking unique accommodations, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you make a reservation with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we’ll suggest alternative dates that could offer more affordable options, helping you secure a better deal.
  4. Consider your location: Opting for accommodation nearer to key attractions or city centres may provide added convenience, but it often comes with increased costs. For more affordable options, you might consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You could also explore independent hotels located further out, which are usually more likely to be affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
