"The room is bigger than the average hotel room in Taipei. The staff are friendly, and the breakfast has a good variety. It’s also conveniently located near department stores, just a 5–7 minute walk away."

The location was superb, right above mrt and hsr. Lots of shopping around the area, love the location which is self sufficient.
The staff were very friendly and polite, room was decent as well except for the pillows which were rather lacking in support. Easily resolved by calling housekeeping to provide thicker pillows. However would be ideal for hotel to get better pillows to replace where needed.
Courtyard by Marriot Taipei is one place we will stay at again if we ever visit Taipei again....

Had an excellent stay at the shangri-la and will continue to use them during my future visits to Taipei.
All the staff were polite and provided excellent service. The hotel rooms were large and had good amneties.
The hotel is not centrally situated but it has a train station nearby around 5 to 10 minutes walk.
All in all, worth the stay however there is one feedback which I will not deduct a star for as it is relatively minor. Please shangri-la, get better hair dryers.

It’s about 5 minutes walk from Zhongshan MRT station, great hotel with very spacious rooms. They still give physical keys though. My first time staying in a hotel where they give out physical keys. The only thing is that the big bed is actually composed of two smaller beds so the middle may sink in at times. Room service was excellent, it’s always cleaned and tidied at all times of the day!

This budget-friendly trip can include leisurely excursions, walking through trendy shopping districts, and enjoying delightful dining options while interacting with friendly locals. Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To discover last-minute deals to Nangang, visit the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may find discounted rates on hotels as your travel date approaches. You could also enable email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, helping you secure the best prices. Additionally, Smart Shopping is a useful comparison tool available via the app, allowing you to compare hotel prices and amenities. This way, if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to see those opportunities first.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a hotel in Nangang. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and sometimes better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest more affordable dates to enhance your chances of securing a better deal.
Consider your location: Staying nearer to major attractions or city centres may provide convenience, but it often comes with increased costs. For more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between price and ease of access to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels a bit further afield, which are usually likely to be more affordable and can offer a more authentic experience.
