We are only 20 mins from Rotorua, one for NZ's top tourist destinations and 25mins from the airport. With Taupo 1hr 20mins away and only 1 &1/4 hrs to great surf beaches, this is a great place to come home to. Rotorua is famous for its thermal activity, hot pools, world class cycling trails and walks in the Redwood forest.



We have easy access from the road down a new concrete driveway. You will have access to the downstairs part of this new house and share with the hosts the laundry facilities. You will be completely private with your own key.



This is a fabulous new home right on the lake front where you will have the whole downstairs area which is self contained. The open plan living area with outside deck and BBQ enjoys the incredible view of the lake and Mt Tarawera which cannot be built out because of the reserve in front of the property. There are two double bedrooms and an extra long window seat in the living area which can fit two people end to end. You will love the native bush and the constant sound of the birds . The sun or moon rising on the lake is spectacular and the reflection of the sunsets breathtaking. With Rotorua only 20minutes away you will be able to enjoy so many activities both outdoor and indoor. We can provide you with some great suggestions.



There are no shops available so shopping is best done in Rotorua before coming to the Lake. There is a restaurant only mins away at The Landing on the lake edge with a beautiful panoramic view and walks around part of the lake.



We have free WIFI and this is available when the guests arrive; if we are away when you are due to arrive we can give you a code to collect your key, This key opens both french doors and the laundry door. We have a washing machine available for guests to use along with a drier. Plus we have a number of drying racks available. The house is fully insulated with double glazing on the windows and french doors.



There is extra parking available on reserve beside this property .. easy access for boats and the boat ramp is seconds away. Great lake for swimming, trout fishing, skiing and wake boarding. Also if you have a boat or love to tramp (only 14kms each way) there is a hot water beach plus hot water pool in the bush on the other side of the lake. IF your not into tramping then you can get the water taxi to take you across and pick you up again. Rates are very reasonable.



There is a Smart flat screen TV, and a fireplace for those cold winter evenings.



If coming from Taupo/Rotorua township direction head towards Whakatane and take a right at roundabout into Tarawera Road.

If you are coming

towards Rotorua from the Airport or the direction of Tauranga or Whakatane take a left at the big round about into Tarawera Rd. You will drive past the Blue and green lakes. After the Buried Village, Tarawera Rd will eventually take you onto Spencer Rd. At the 50km sign the road becomes narrow and windy. Travel on for approximately 2 mins and Lakehouse Escape is situated just past and beside the Stoney Point Reserve on your right at the bottom of a steep rise. No. 155
