I brought my kids to Halifax for a weekend away. I communicated via text with Shannon who I’m assuming is the property manager. She was helpful in giving us the information for the property. We were given the wrong keys in the lock box so Shannon had to meet us for the right ones. When we entered the unit I noticed right away that the fridge and dishwasher were all streaked and dirty looking. She advised it’s the cleaner used for covid and it leaves streaks. I gave her the benefit of the doubt and said ok.
We went out for dinner and when we returned I got looking around the unit and it was filthy. I literally had to scrub down the shower glass and enclosure as the was grime, soap scum and pubic hair in it. I had to clean the inside of the fridge and microwave. Outside of microwave was full of handprints, streaks on everything, food on the front of the oven and fridge, spills all over the cabinets, food, dirt and water spots in the sink, crumbs all over the couch and floor.
I ended up going to buy disinfectant spray and wipes to spray down the beds and couches as I couldn’t trust how clean they were. Even my kids couldn’t believe the condition of the place.
What upset me even more was that when I addressed this with Shannon the following morning after sending an email the night before with no response, she literally said “what do you want me to do about it” and basically argued with me. I am a business owner and could not believe the terrible customer service.
