Noisy area , bad sound insulation
Friendly staff but stay here was not so great. The sound dampening features are not efficient. Every noise from the road comes to the room almost unfiltered making our sleep not so good. Towels are old and need replacement.

Exceeded my expectations
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Somerset Maison. Situated in a prime location, it is surrounded by decent restaurants and a pretty good bakery round the corner. Although just minutes walk away from T21/ Interchange Tower, the complimentary ad-hoc shuttle service provides a completely sheltered and more convenient way to get there which then links you to both BTS/MRT lines. A big thanks to Mr Boy and his colleague Toni for ferrying us to and fro during our stay with warm smiles :) The ladies at the reception are also welcoming and friendly especially the lady with short hair (sorry, did not get her name) who comes across as genuine and sincere. The rooms are well equipped and comes with universal power points so you can leave your travel adaptors at home. There are no rooms across the corridor so this layout is great to mitigate possible noise and disturbance from other guests coming in and out and creates more privacy as well. Thumbs up to the design. A personal favourite of mine is the rooftop garden which is a really nice and quiet place to unwind after a long day. I only wished there were lesser mosquitoes there. A friendly suggestion to the management - can try to place some mosquito coils or some repellent device there after sundown. Thank you to all of the staff who made this review so positive.

Would totally stay here again!
We absolutely loved our stay here at Somerset Bangkok. It was close enough to walk to all the popular places close by and also within walking distance from the public subway stations to get wherever you needed to go that was further out in Bangkok. The room was cozy, clean, well kept and comfortable. We even were able to get our laundry done with the provided washer and dryer combo after 13-14 days of traveling. This also saved me so much time once I got home which I am grateful for. The pool is beautiful and private to only the people staying at Somerset, unlike some of the places we stayed at in Krabi. The location is across from a convenient store so if you need late night snacks, drinks, goodies you have a place to go. Our stay was also very peaceful and we had no problem with any outside noice from the city. The staff here were so sweet and helpful with check in, check out and helping with shuttles/bags. 10 out of 10 stay.

My room was different than the advertised photos and had no view. The hotel changed to higher floor but same view facing another residential building and had to keep the shade closed most of the time; will book else where next time near Asoke station and terminal 21 instead. The cleaning service will enter your room without requesting; must request no cleaning prior otherwise they will ring the bell and enter when no one is in the room to answer the bell. What happens you are in the shower? and can’t answer the bell… glad I didn’t have to find out. It was quite stressful when certain days I wanted to relax in the room and request cleaning only when needed. It was quite surprising to find cleaning service entering without your knowledge after a long day of touring the city.
