Coronavirus Haven
Quaint building and interesting decor. Adequate beds and necessities such as the dorm size refrigerator, microwave, kitchen sink and round table. Nice location. Abundant towels for our needs. We played cards and could have used one more chair but improvised with a lawn chair from the car. Very clean.

Ok for our needs! They care about you having a good stay.
The GPS directions weren’t clear, so be sure to clarify with the host if needed. The property is cute and well maintained. Interesting history. The home was clean and complete with towels, games, books, Netflix etc. There is no oven or microwave, and just a mini-fridge, FYI. There is a window air conditioner/heater. It was chilly there (50s at night in June) so we had to use the heater. I found it make the upstairs loft very warm but the downstairs stayed cool. There is also a space heater downstairs to help. The air was very dry- possibly from the heater. There is a full bed upstairs, twin bunk beds and a sleeper sofa downstairs. Bathroom is quite small- sink and shower stall. The property is in a good location very close to downtown Keystone and Mount Rushmore, close enough to Custer state park etc. There is a bar on the corner which I wasn’t crazy about, and be aware there is NO grocery store in keystone, you have to travel almost 20 minutes to another town. Keystone has lots of restaurants, shops and attractions. The property managers came late at night when we had a small issue checking in (we were at the wrong property across the street due to our GPS, our fault). It was quite gracious of them to come out to help. I can tell they want everyone to have a positive experience and that is appreciated. Bottom line, it was clean, enough space for us and a central location. A little pricey but it was ok!

What a wonderful little place!
The Keystone Ice House is a lovely little hideaway in the midst of tourist central. Tammy and Sean do a wonderful job of taking care of the place and make you feel sooo much like a member of their family. Highly recommended for someone looking for something a little different from the usual motel/hotel experience. Five stars in my book!

Family of 5 vacation
This cabin was the perfect home away from home for our week vacation! We all loved the simple layout an the kids loved the bunk beds. We were fine without a stove. Fridge, microwave, and big coffee pot were all we needed. Keystone is right in the middle of all the fun! Also wifi and Netflix were nice to have. We loved our stay here!

Cute Little Cabin In Historic Town
This place had everything we needed with a bonus cozy-cabin vibe in a great location close to restaurants and Mount Rushmore. It's probably most suited for two adults and two kids (a full bed in the loft and twin bunk-beds downstairs), but can sleep up to six with the pull-out sofa. Not great for people with mobility issues due to the loft, but that was not an issue for us personally and we all quite enjoyed the bunk beds and loft area. The wifi was not working during our stay, but we did enjoy Netflix access on the Smart TV. Hot water worked great in the showers and the little kitchenette had plates and glasses. The mini-fridge was also much appreciated. Overall, the Historic Icehouse is a great place to stay in the Black Hills area! The rental is walking distance to several historic buildings including some bars and stores open for business. Also, definitely check out Crazy Horse Memorial about 30 minutes away in Custer, SD. Drive the breath-taking Needles Highway in Custer State Park. About an hour and half away, you can see Spearfish Canyon which is older than the Grand Canyon and has three waterfalls to visit along a scenic drive in Spearfish/Savoy area. Bears Lodge (Devil's Tower) is at least as far out, but also very worth a visit and definitely a highlight of our trip!

Fantastic!
What an adorable cabin! It had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. Very clean and comfortable. Location was great and the area surrounding is so quaint and quiet. Quick drive to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. When you stay here, do yourself a favor and check out Black Hills Glass Blowers, Dahl Brothers Wood Carvers, Bear Country USA and go eat at Powder House Lodge. We would definitely stay here again next time we're in town!
