Hotel Agava

Lovely Hotel. Well-positioned (Almost walked past it as it's hidden down a side alley). In some countries, 'Boutique' means a small dingey hotel, but in this case, it is actually a good boutique hotel. Only small criticisms preventing a 5/5 rating is; 1) No lift. If you're staying on the top (3rd) floor it's a bit of a killer lugging your families 5x cases up the stairs in the sweltering heat. 2) Towels smelt of smoke. The cleaner or towel washer needs to stop smoking around their work. Other than that, nice staff, service good, location good, hotel lovely.

Very nice hotel, walking distance to the most important sights in town, restaurants, cafes and shops. The hotel manager, Matina was very helpful in absolutely everything we need. She made us feel at home.

This brand new hotel is beautiful. A great location near the harbor in Split. Matina and her staff were great hosts, very accommodating of our travel schedule, attentive and even set up a shuttle from the airport for us. I highly recommend it to anyone staying in Split!

I have been traveling more than 20 years and from time to time you get a pleasant surprise out of the ordinary. Agava is one of them, situated very close to the Diocletian Palace in a narrow street surrounded by medieval buildings. Only 8 rooms - beautiful style with rough brick walls. Still minor finsh to be completed but hotel is only year old. The receptionists are super helpful and professional. Go there!
