The hotel is fine, but that’s about it. I booked through hotels.com and paid extra for a deluxe twin room. When I checked in I was told that this was an internal room. There was no indication of this in my booking, in fact it said there would be a view. I thought that the room may overlook an internal atrium, but no it was like a prison. I explained to the front desk that this is was not acceptable and they need to sort out their descriptions on booking websites.
It was eventually sorted out.
The lift system in the hotel is terrible. It takes ages and doesn’t seem to be programmed properly.
The views from the rooftop bar are amazing. But the environment is not what it looks like on booking websites. I can see why they are using drawn images rather than photographs. On the two evenings we were there, they had external functions/parties which meant all of the tables were booked on both evenings in the rooftop bar with people who are not staying at the hotel. This meant we were unable to eat or sit down at a table to enjoy a drink. The only space available was a high table Which was reserved for smokers. You really wouldn’t expect that you could not eat at the main rooftop restaurant/bar when is staying at a hotel.
The surrounding area is not great, it is colourful, but I would not stay if you are a single person.
Overall, I would’ve expected more as there is so much choice in Kuala Lumpur, I was left disappointed that I did not choose another hotel.
