If there is a room here - book it. Now.
Darren and Victoria may be new to running a b&b but they are doing a fantastic job and you would never know they haven't been doing this for years. Every want was catered for before I could even think to ask. The rooms were sparkling clean, huge in size, they had tv with netflix in each room or a common room to use as needed. The ensuite showers are lovely and hot and have fantastic showerhead for bathing. Breakfast was cooked to perfection both mornings. I opted for avocado, toast, and scrambled egg the first morning and waffles and fresh fruit the second. Both days had fresh bread on offer along with yogurt, musli, oj and milk. In the evening there is an honor bar with lots of nice alcohol and beers if one just wants to chill. The view from the house is gorgeous (Mourne Mountains or out over the hills). There is a good sized lawn (perfect for playing with the resident dog,Hugo) and plenty of parking. Once you are in the room, there is not a sound from the road or town which meant once the lights were out - so was I. Slept like the dead. Darren and Victoria are great hosts, know the local area very well (ask them for anything to do and they are spot on) and I wish them many years of business. Thanks guys!

Well worth a stay!
Beautifully tranquil location, very friendly couple who provided an excellent service. Rooms were very comfortable & tastefully furnished, no road noise, very rural, great breakfast. Just a shame we had a very fleeting one night stay.

Top of the range B&B
Excellent stay. Great B&B, amazing service and lovely location just off the Mourne Costal Drive near Kilkeel. Darren & Victoria were very helpful and a lovely couple. Hugo the dog was a brilliant with the kids and the property is a lovely new build that is decorated fantastically. The breakfast was great and therewas plenty of everything on offer. Highly recommend this to anyone heading out that direction.

Wonderful B&B
Warm welcome by Victoria who showed us the lounge, breakfast room and our bedroom with Ensuite. Our room was extremely comfortable with extras such as a nighttime chocolate on the towels. Victoria gave us tips on where to dine in the evening, we had a great meal. Breakfast was superb, scrambled eggs cooked perfectly. Darren gave us directions to the Mourne Mountains which we did. Silent Valley B&B is just that, lovely and quiet, great view of the mountains, beautifully appointed, very well catered and just a delightful place to stay, wish we could have stayed longer

A Gem in the Mournes
From the moment we arrived we were made to feel like family and not guest's.The owner of the guest house have set very standards. The room we stayed in was very large and very very clean. The decor also is beautiful. Also the onsuite was great.Food and this was prepared by the owner and what a breakfast I had Waffle's with strawberries, blueberries, bananas and before that wheaten bread, cerels and coffee. My wife had the Silent Valley Fry with tea all in all a great place to stay please please if your in the area this is the place to stay and if you not then make sure you go and stay you will be made very welcome and as you read this the owner will alway have a welcome for you we both would highly recommend THE SILENT VALLEY BED AND BREAKFAST.Once again thank you for a wonderful stay.
