A very unique experience .its not the Ritz by a long shot but rooms are pleasant.quirky and personal attention is 1st class . The Serendipity initiative at the hotel is awesome giving young adults with learning difficulties employment and some their first work experiences -all very happy in their work . Paul the host is a fabulous chef and the food was amazing. We stay away at least once a month and thoroughly enjoyed our few days here. Give it a go.

    What a find .........

Lovely stay. Lovely welcoming fire . Very quirky. Chose a luxury room which had little extras including a hot water bottle and sachet of hot chocolate and bath robes. As it was built in the 12th century was worried that these things were a sign that we were going to be cold but it was a lovely cosy room. Loved the 8 course taster menu and the fact that we had a little room to ourselves. Lovely experience and reasonably priced. We shall return

Quirky place, undergoing improvements at the moment, although this didn't have any impact on our stay. Breakfast was varied and good. staff were friendly. Only 5-10 minute walk into Louth town, which is a lovely place to walk.

Very warm welcome and introductory tour around this interesting hotel to learn about the history of the place. Understanding the stories of how these older homes evolved through the years is fascinating. We were given a lovely complimentary glass of sherry which added to the welcome, as did the enthusiasm of all staff we met .
