Pretty good for a hostel
--comfortable room (I stayed in the double deluxe room) --the wine cooler (mentioned in an earlier review) is a real thing (as is the absence of a kettle in the room), but of course you can keep the cooler operational when you leave the room by sticking some random plastic card into the card holder by the doorway. --the balcony largely overlooks a gas station, which was kind of disappointing, but there is also a partial view of Seoraksan --the outside handle on the door to the balcony was broken, which meant that I could not close it when I was outside.

Not Happy
This was a Double Deluxe Room. However, no refrigerator; just a warm mini wine cooler that goes off when you leave the room. Had to put my milk downstairs in second floor fridge. There was no kettle in room. Had to ask for one. Management kindly gave me a kettle. However, I shouldn't have had to struggled for a kettle and a fridge after paying good money. Very angry.

Haru guesthouse is just across the road fr Sokcho inter-city bus terminal and ~800m fr Sokcho fish market & shopping street. The guesthouse is clean and decent. Haru, the guesthouse owner, was friendly and speak good English. There is no lift in this property, you need to carry the luggages up/down the stairs.

Great location just across the Sokcho Intercity Bus Terminal. Bus stop to Seoraksan is also a few minutes walk away. Too bad there was no elevator since it was a bit of a struggle for me to bring up my luggage to my room on the third floor. Space inside the room is a bit tight but love the modern interior. Facilities available at the cafe (free access for hotel guests) were only microwave and hot & cold water dispenser. Breakfast time was not ideal for those who wants to head to Seoraksan early.
