Cheeky Weekend With The Wife
Lovely weekend break with the wife and lovely hotel with some great history. Staff were absolutely wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. The down side was the noisy party of 18 celebrating grandmas birthday and the kids running riot until 1am slamming bedroom doors and generally poorly behaved. Not the hotels fault and parents should have stepped up. Service and staff faultless and perfect base to explore the island.

Generally lovely hotel, some quirks like slopping floors. Reception is beautiful, rooms clean and spacious. Tea and coffee facilities has so many options. Only negative was the radiator, which although turned down still felt like it was a furnace

The George is a splendid old building over 300 years old. The rooms are large, well appointed and have beautiful modern bathrooms. At the back there are the retaurant and terrace leading on to a garden that goes right to the sea’s edge - a lovely place for relaxation and refreshment. The restaurant food is very good quality, probably the best in Yarmouth. It does not have its own parking but parking was not an issue as plenty public parking was available. We stayed for one night but would plan our next visit to be there longer.
