Nice view and great tours
We had a very nice stay at Pyramids Valley. The staff was very friendly. Because we booked tours with the hotel, they upgraded our room to have the closest view of the pyramids and the Sphinx. The view was great from our balcony and also from the roof terrasse. We booked 2 tours for 3 days of visits with the hotel. Our guide, Sabry was great, very knowledgeable, attentive and polite. We had an awesome two days in Cairo and one day in Alexandria. The only downside to the hotel is its awkward bathroom.

Look elsewhere
The transportation and restaurant were great. The room was ok. It was dirty, but cheap, so expectations were not too high. Really bad reception desk. A pack of wild dogs was barking for 3 hrs straight in the middle of the night directly in front of the hotel's entrance (and right below my balcony). It wasn't until I went downstairs and complained that they thought to shoo them away. Left the hotel a day early (with no refund) because the hotel was so bad.

Once in a life time Pyramids.
We had 2 nights of 14 day trip of Israel. It was the best bed I slept in. It is right next to the entrance of the pyramids. Shops are open all night near by, we noticed as we rode in. Walking after dark not recommended. Toilet was actually in the shower. Slow to drain, but functioned well. Small water heater above the toilet. Well worth the price. We stay in nice time share properties, but this was perfect for us. We only was at the room for sleep and showering. Israel had loose cats and Egypt had loose dogs all over, some distant noise at night, but the good bed helped us sleep through it. We had 2 twin beds in half of our hotels on this 14 day trip. We would stay again. Our friends had a better shower. Great pics off the hotel roof and you can watch the light show from there. We went inside the park for the light show, but the roof would have been easier. Hope this helps. We got to the room at 3:30 am and got great pictures of pyramids with the moon behind. Sorry I can't transfer them to show you.
