This was our second time at Oz. We loved it back in March, so we wanted to stay again. It was obvious that COVID was affecting all of Sayulita with fewer visitors, and with not many guests, some of the standard amenities and services were not readily available. Our room was on the first floor and smelled musty. The safe was not working. We got a great price, but I was disappointed they didn’t put us in a slightly nicer room when the inventory was obviously available. No wifi password given at checkin. When I walked to the front desk to ask, no one was at the desk. Later that night, we came back about 1am. The front door had been locked 😳 and we were unable to get in. Again, no one at front desk. After knocking and calling for ten min, someone finally came out. The free breakfast was to start at 9am. At 9:15am, no food was put out yet (just juice). We had a 9:30am pickup to leave for the airport, so we left hungry. Positives- AC works great, nice pool (though we had to call the front desk to get them to turn on the outdoor lights after the sun went down), nice showers with hot water, employees are friendly.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and was very accommodating. The room was spacious and clean, lovely. The only thing was that the sound from the hallway came in quite a bit, but I guess this comes with the big floor to ceiling windows (which was very nice), so no complaints. Very close to the center (less than 5 min walk) but not smack down in the center of the partying so was great for us with a baby. I would stay here again!!
Great location. Great services offered. Great staff. Would highly recommend and will return in the future.
The security and limited entrance is assuring. The staff was so attentive and helpful. The House keeping was quick and clean. Roof top pool was clean and has a beautiful view. Again the staff is very professional and friendly.
Goooood
Sightseeing in the area and relaxing with my brother. No complaints
Location was great, but "free on-site parking" is not accurate. It is seven blocks away (uphill), so unless you're comfortable walking to this isolated stretch of road, you're going to spend a bit on tipping someone to park your car.
This was our second time staying here and it was awesome. I highly recommend rm 403. The AC worked great but at night we just used the ceiling fan. I had a hot shower in the mornings and the room was very clean. The free breakfast was very basic Mexican style with scrambled egss, fresh fruit., coffee and chips and salsa. The staff are all very nice and willing to help. Great location.
The location was convenient as expected. The front desk staff was very kind and accomodating. But the remainder was a real life version of “Instagram vs. Reality”— the carefully-angled photos of their listing had me believing it would be a cool modern boutique hotel. It wasn’t. At all. The rooms all face the building hallways and you cannot open the windows/sliding doors with any degree of privacy, so curtains and doors have to stay closed. It was clear the maintenance staff could not keep up- the ashtrays throughout the property were always full; the 9-11am included breakfast was out of most food items, clean plates, and clean cups by 9:30; there was a gigantic collection of mops and buckets and cleaning carts right outside the elevator doors (2nd floor) and sprinkled throughout the property. The bedding was mediocre, the towels were tiny and rough and only 1 per person was given- so you dry yourself the next day with a small still-moist towel. No bath (floor) mats are provided so water gets everywhere. This hotel felt like a superb marketing team has sold a lot of people on coming to stay in a hotel that does NOT have the staff bandwidth or attention to detail to live up to its photos or description.
Staff is very friendly and attentive. Property is clean and modern
