Warning do not book
Book 9 nights for family stay. Found hotel in rundown neighborhood. Conditions of room not acceptable(see photos) so tried to check out early. Was told by check in staff that I would have to speak to owner for refund of remaining stay, and owner only spoke Korean. Contacted hotels.com for assistance and received poor customer service. Hotels.com tried calling owner on my behalf, number was not working. Owner called me directly, spoke English fine, and said he would not refund because “he did nothing wrong.”
It took several phone calls over hours with long distance charges to get partial refund from hotels.com. Booked another hotel last minute at inflated prices to salvage rest of vacation. Hotel.com should do better job overseeing accommodations and taking care of its customers overseas.
