Casa do Governador - Evora

Beautiful and elegant country farmhouse surrounded by olive trees and vineyards. Only 10 minutes to Evora. Friendly staff.

We loved this place. If you like bed and breakfasts, this one is great. The ambiance of the old house shines through, but you still have modern upgrades and conveniences. The grounds are pretty, and there are numerous areas to sit and visit or relax with a good book, or even take a nap. The pool is nice. The only draw back is it is not within walking distance to old town Èvora. We had a car, so it wasn’t a problem, but otherwise you’d need to call a taxi. I still think it’s more than worth it.

The hotel phone number did not work. We were trying to reach and no one answered the phone. No one available at night if there was a problem. Sub- standard breakfast.

Loved the setting, our cottage and amazing pool on the grounds. We can’t say enough good things about our stay. We wish we could have stayed for a few days!

A lovely place to stay, very rustic with charming decor. A little bit outside Evora for walking, so a car or taxi necessary . Will definitely visit again.
