South B&B is run by Javier and Andrea who are brother and sister. Plus Pablo who takes care the breakfast and three dogs entertain guests. We stayed for three days total but in separate stays. We enjoyed the family atmosphere. The view from the hotel is superb. The rooms were basic but sufficient. January the day time was long so we had plenty time to enjoy watching the sunset of El Calafate. They both speak Spanish, English and French and help guests for all the bookings. It was our base to travel around Patagonia and we had good restful days there.

Nice hotel for trekkers. Good breakfast. Better rooms are on upper floors to avoid early morning noise near the breakfast room. Location is good for people capable of climbing the hill from downtown and those with a car.

The place is great. The only drawback is the walk to and, more importantly, back from the Main Street.

From our understanding, siblings, Javier and Andrea, own the place and are available throughout entire stay for food , drink and excursion accomodations. They help with taxi's, transports, translation, and booking. Would recommend to friends, family and strangers

Cute place with friendly hosts. Great views of Lago Argentina from all rooms. About 10-15 minute walk from town center/restaurants/shops. Comfortable memory foam beds but pillows are rock hard.

Mooi uitzicht vriendelijke mensen, maar kamers zijn wel erg simpel. Bedden met lakens en dekens niet meer van deze tijd. En 1 persoons befden ook niet meer.

We stayed here early December and had a really great stay! The hosts (brother and sister) were super helpful and helped us book trips both to El Chalten and The glacier national park. We only stayed 3 nights so being able to book the trips easily was awesome. Thank you so much for a lovely stay. Very clean, decent breakfast and short walk to centre of town

I like the owners of the property, they were very friendly and provided excellent service to us. The property is very nice and clean and it offers breakfast at no cost. We had a beautiful view of the lake and the town, everything is walking distance. Lots of restaurants to eat and also lots of stores for shopping.
