Still great!
Uno Port Inn is still great and the staff are still enthusiastic. It has been 4 years since my last visit and it remains a highlight of our time in Japan. Kudos for making it through the pandemic and continuing to provide great service, a great breakfast and great satisfaction.

Made us feel so welcome!
This little hotel is right across from the ferry terminal and was a fantastic spot to spend a night. The rooms are not luxurious but the bed was comfortable, the shower was excellent, and the care and attention of the owner and staff was incredible. We were given a useful guide to restaurants in Uno and to the art island of Naoshima which was our reason for visiting, and everyone genuinely cared that we had a good time and everything was OK. Highly recommended!

Good experience
Had a great experience here. Max is very knowledgeable about the area and gives useful advice - and he makes a great flat white! The Inn is closed for general public in terms of coffees and the restaurant is not working due to Covid situation but there are eating places close by. Location excellent for train and ferry. We had a traditional room and the beds were about the comfiest we have had in 2.5 weeks in Japan. bathrooms although not shared are down the hall from your room. Overall good value for money. I would recommend as a good place before and after seeing the Art islands.

Stay at the Port Uno Inn
When you first walk in you are seated in their cafe and given a full run down of the area and the what there is to do on the nearby islands. Max and the others are incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in your travels and how they can help you out. I really appreciated all their effort and kindness. ALSO breakfast is a must. They make the best breakfast sandwiches. The location is right next to Uno station and all the ferry terminals. There's a 7/11 next door also.

Perfect
It was a very good experience from the beginning! The owner, Max, is so kind and he made me feel more comfortable in my stay, he is always checking if you're having a great time. The conditions of the room and bath were perfect! Everything cleaned and working, I had my own bathroom so I did not have to hurry because other people were waiting or checking if the shower was available, I had all the privacy that I wanted at a just the price! Really worth it! Definently I'll come back. The Uno Ferry port is just crossing the street, very convenient location.

Highlight of our trip
We loved this place! Our favorite across Japan. It was cute and funky. Service was great. Location was perfect for visiting Naoshima. Convenient coin laundry with dryers that actually worked! Best nights sleep of the whole trip. We stayed in a Japanese style room with futons. Highly recommended
