Overall the hotel decoration and Swimming pool is awesome and pretty, but, although we already choose seafront chalet but there still had recreation centre block our view from the room. Overall the hotel is good but a little bit over price due to less facilities and amenities provided. The satellite TV not function throughout our stay, we need to borrow hard disk from reception to watch movie, the facilities in room is so so only especially the bathroom, it was large but feel empty, it will be good if it has facilitated with bath tub, and the room didn't provided slipper and bath robe. For the attached restaurant, the western and Chinese foods are so so, but we would like recommend the malay foods like Nasi Lemak and Maggie goreng, really tasty and nice, the seafoods are fresh especially the prawn in the Maggie goreng. But the breakfast is too expensive, I had ordered big breakfast but feel it was pricy, personally feel that it was low cost ingredients but offer with high price, even I requested for butter but the staff said that don't have any butter provided, will not recommend people take the western breakfast. The dining time was take at least 2 hours during our stay due to crowded people and less of manpower, even the staff forgot to take in my friend's order and made her waiting for more than 2 hours only get her foods, in the middle we had ask at least 2 staff to check for our orders but no one feedback to us. Hope this can get further improvement.

I’ve stayed at The Barat Tioman twice this year. I love the room, the amenities, the cleanliness and of course the friendly and helpful staff. Apart from having reasonable priced accommodations, The Barat Tioman also provides diving lessons and snorkelling services. The beach is always clean and they also provide additional beach activities for adults and children. Yes ! A comfortable place for kids too ! Did i mention they have waddling pool and swimming pool? A rooftop bar ,but unfortunately un operational during Civid-19. For first timers to Tioman , please be ensure that the telco services isn’t stable or strong enough - so patience is a virtue .. and it is an island life after all 😅 I would definitely recommend it to friends and family! I see you soon !

Lovely stay
Wonderful place to stay. Nice pool and very friendly helpful staff. The room was big and well equipped. The reception was always manned and couldn’t do enough for you. The only downside is there was construction work at the back of my room, presumably because it is low (monsoon) season. Also there were limited vegetarian options on their monsoon menu, although the regular menu for the high season looked very veggie friendly

Perfect for adventures with teenagers.
We loved our stay at The Barat: great service, good food, safe, clean room and air conditioned room and comfortable beds. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and the beach was beautiful - so clean! We were lucky to go at the start of the low season, so it was quiet. The transfer to and from the ferry terminal was a highlight, as we traveled through the forest looking out for monkeys. We also watched baby turtles make their way to the sea, thanks to the conservation project next door and the snorkeling trip did not disappoint. We will be back!
