Stayed 5 nights Location is fantastic: in the middle of so many interesting old buildings in the lower town area, near the river too, down a winding interesting narrow street (Sous-le Cap).... Breakfasts were delicious. We walked our dog every morning down to the river while they were being cooked...so nice! Very good restaurants in the area. Our hosts, Francois and Martin, were so friendly. They gave us solid tourist advice too. The roof-top terrace is super; ate take-out there one night; beverages there other times too, as a nice get away from the tourists. Bed was comfy; however, room had only one chair. Because of the location and very reasonable price, I chose this place despite the shared bathroom. One couple was a bit sloppy but Francois picked up right away. Garbage pick up and food deliveries started at 6:15 every morning except Sunday...stay on Rue Sous le Cap side to avoid this (although in A/C season or when windows are closed otherwise, the noise should be reduced).

This property is Francois and Martin's home which makes it the most pleasant and unique of experiences for visitors to Quebec city. They will make you feel welcome it will help you find the best entertainment, and in my particular case went far above and Beyond what I would consider normal hotelier services. When I got stuck in an unusually heavy snowfall in a rental car, they were more than willing and incredibly helpful in helping to dig me out so that my girlfriend and I could get on with the business of enjoying our stay.
The location is peerless, being in old Quebec directly beneath the city walls a block from ancient churches and the museum of civilization. Restaurants, galleries, and all that Quebec city has to offer is within an easy walking distance even in heavy snow.
I recommend asking your proprietors about the art and their extensive plant collection in between petting "baby chien".
The shared facilities encourage socialization with your fellow guests, which far from being a detriment in this travelers opinion enhances the entire experience.

You could not ask for better hosts than at this B&B. Martin & Francois could not be friendlier or more accomodating. We parked 2 minutes away from the B&B and walked everywhere. The location is outstanding you are close to everything. The breakfast served on the beautiful rooftop deck was outstanding. It was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this B&B if you want to experience Old Quebec at its best.

François and his partner Martin were excellent hosts. The property is ideal since it is situated in the "vieux Québec", within walking distance of all the historical sites. A very substantial and delicious breakfast was served every day. Though we had to share a bathroom, this was a large room with sunken tub and enclosure for those who preferred a shower. Since the B&B only has two rooms, we had no difficulty with timing the use of the bathroom. Laundry facilities are a great convenience. The bathrobes were chics and warm! Merci François et Martin pour les discussions animées! Lise & Peter

A fabulous location, close to everywhere you’d want to go in the old city, but not overrun with crowds. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They prepared a bountiful breakfast every morning ; we had a pleasant morning chat with them and the other guests. The room was very nice and we had access to the terrace on the roof.

A little bit of Quebecois paradise.
This was a perfect vacation for us. François is amazing: he made us feel welcome, helped to orient us, and generally made every effort to enhance our stay. His place is beautiful and wonderfully located. Breakfast on the roof terrace, with fresh fruit and a fruit crepe and café au lait was pretty much perfect. He and Martin and their petit chien Armand made our getaway something we'll never forget.
