A nice room. Bed was relatively comfy, the shower was lovely. A stain on the curtains, but that shouldn’t take away from the fact it was a nice stay. A smart TV with plenty of channels was good. Would’ve been nice to have soap and shower gel/conditioner provided. A special mention for the staff. They were exceptional, very friendly.

The first room we were given was dirty and had mould but we were quickly moved to another room which was clean. The rooms were not soundproof as advertised and didn't look the same as they were advertised. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For a short stay it's not too bad, however not sure I'd recomend for a long stay. Make sure to bring shampoo etc and a hairdryer as our room didn't have them although I'm sure this could potentially have been rectified if we had asked.

Firstly the staff, oh they were lovely and welcoming, friendly and approachable. We parked in the carpark ok so that was good. Our room was at the back and the view was of the gardens, full of bluebells and plants. Nice big bathroom with a bath, a shower and a bidet. Nice clean big towels. Clean room and hot radiator. Tv and Kettle. I wish there was a plug socket at the sides of the bed as it’s helpful to be able to look at phone for the time. Would I stay again? Definitely yes

Room was ok, good value for a price. Clean and tidy. Staff very nice. Unfortunately very thin walls and next door neighbour didn't let us sleep due to watching tv very loud till 3am. We informed staff and they promised to go and knock to his door, but I am not sure if they did, and othing changed. Other than that it would be a good stay, they even provided us with a mini fridge which my daughter needed for her medicaments, and this was great help. So overall hitel is good, if you are lucky to the other guests

Shame really, the staff were super friendly and helpful, but the building and facilities are tired and in sore need of updating. The room was clean but the bed uncomfortable and springy, pillows were flat. It would be really good value for money if you got a good night's sleep, but sadly the matress was not co-operating. We will be visiting Barry often on family matters, and would love to have found a nice place to stopover, but uncomfortable beds aren't worth it. Sadly we'll not be staying again.

The mattress was dreadful. Every spring could be felt and creaked and groaned. I asked to be moved and was put into a room with a better mattress. With a spare duvet on top the mattress in 2nd room was comfortable. There was a huge radiator in bathroom which couldn't be turned off. Bathroom was like a sauna. Well kept foyer which smelt fresh until staff came in smelling of stale cigarette smoke. Room was clean and freshly painted. Carpets in rooms and hallway looked new . As long as you have a decent mattress this hotel is good value , clean and quiet .

The pictures on the website do not match the rooms..the rooms defo need an upgrade for the price you pay it’s defo not worth it, we had great big holes in our ceiling, the carpets need a good clean, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from next door so barely got any sleep as both sides of the room where chatters, the windows are old and wooden so the draught coming in, the view was off old towels which had been thrown out the window, pay a bit extra and stay somewhere else… good points - reception staff where friendly

Very, very tired hotel. Bistro shut permanently so no food available despite it still showing on their web site. Room very poor, door lock broken, toilet roll holder missing off wall, black mold on bathroom ceiling, yuk! Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Only positive note was reception staff very nice and helpful.
