While the hotel is typical of a 3-star hotel in Japan, the location is central and within 5 min walking distance from Sapporo station. It also has a convenience store just ard the corner. Generally a value for money hotel if one’s not picky abt the facilities.

I was travelling in Sapporo during the Sapporo Snow Festival and the Toyoko Inn hotels (I stayed at 2 different ones in the area during my trip; both were very similar) were lifesavers!! It seemed like just about every hotel in the city had jacked their prices up to twice their usual rates, several even thrice, to take advantage of the influx of tourists during the festival. Fortunately, the Toyoko Inn hotels maintained their normal rates and I was able to book the last few rooms which were still available. The greatest benefit of the hotel is its location. It's proximity to Sapporo Station, only a few minutes by foot, made it very convenient for me to get around Sapporo during my trip. The rooms were clean and decently furnished, comparable to other business hotels I've previously stayed in. The staff were polite and accommodating during the few interactions I had with them. The room came with buffet breakfast included. The food served isn't anything to write home about but adequate enough to last one till the next meal. If you're looking for a decent place to stay that's budget friendly and ideally situated for access to Sapporo Station, I'd highly recommend this hotel. For the low rates that they're charging, you can't go wrong with them!!

Convenient hotel in the heart of Sapporo
It's centrally located - about 5 min walk from Sapporo Station and major shopping malls. Complimentary breakfast was also provided during our stay.

Quiet, clean and good location.
It keeps Toyoko Inn trusted stable standard, free breakfast is simple but good taste, the room is small but it is Japanese normal style, the building inside looks like a new one. The room and the bathroom are very clean. The location is just 3 minutes away from one of the exits of Sapporo station, if you can find the right exit, quiet but enough eating places in the station and around the hotel. And there are 7-11 and Lawson shops outside of the hotel. Overall, I am happy about my stay.
