Would be great if your a crackhead. I was a little afraid my wheels would be missing from my car. Very sketchy part of town!

Don't waste your time or money.

Based on the mixed reviews, I decided to give the Aspen Lodge a try because amidst the horrifying reviews, there were a few glowing reviews. Our impression upon arrival was uneasy. Other guests had their doors were open for several rooms, which looked over-occupied... The front desk employees appeared to live in the hotel room closest to the office. We were initially greeted by a man who was shirtless holding a Foster’s Oil Can and then a woman wearing baggy basketball shorts. The office was tiny and smelled of cigarettes. Everything about this place looked extremely old and unkempt. We got a room all the way in the back, so we drove through the parking lot, avoiding potholes and bumps in the road. People seemed zoned out, using drugs in their hotel rooms with the doors open. Our room smelled of smoke and was very dingey. It claimed to be a non-smoking room, but there was a bucket of spent cigarettes by the door. We could hear a baby crying next door and people talking loudly through the paper-thin walls. Staying there was definitely not an option at this point. We had a very expensive bike with us and did not feel comfortable leaving our belongings in the hotel room. We checked it out and use the bathroom (the toilet seat which was not secured to the toilet slide off upon lifting the toilet seat cover) and then left to find another hotel for the night. This hotel was not worth the price and cost savings. I would not recommend staying here.

    A night at Aspen lodge.

It was a good place to stay for a night or more. We got the lodge style room with wood interior and bigger bath which was nice. The room we had a great cabin like ambiance.

We didn't have any towels, so it was a good thing we brought some from home. The lady at the front desk was very friendly even when I had called to make sure my reservations had went through.

    Awful, scary, disgusting

We pulled in to the Aspen Lodge parking lot and thought we were in the wrong place because it looked like nasty apartments. We drove to the back to turn around because we thought maybe the hotel was on the other side and it was more of the same. Broken barbecue pit, dirty clothes, trash piled outside of each door, it looked like a place homeless people stay for a few weeks at a time. It is not a hotel and should not be listed as an option on Hotels.com because it will sully your name to refer people to this trashy place. We were scared to park our car there and we did not risk spending the night because I’d rather sleep in my car than sleep at the Aspen Lodge. Hotels.com tried to contact the hotel for a refund for us and no one answered because there was basically no staff. I think one of the residents was acting as manager and she was carrying a large bag of garbage away when we left. We ended up finding another place to stay that was much cleaner and only cost $20 more.

Was ok, But not a return motel for me

The Motel room mostly clean if you did not have to worry about allergies. It was very close to where I was going and visiting, and had a community that was watching out for each other. Those things were very much appreciated. Unfortunately I am allergic to cigar and cigarette smoke which requires a fully non smoking room and area. What I didn’t know is that all hotel rooms are by law not to be smoked inside of, there for making it a non smoking room. As a result I ended up on a cocktail of 3 different allergy medicines in order to not have a reaction by the smoke coming through the door, windows and vents from outside into a room with no opening bathroom window to have ventilation with. This really is the only thing that made the hotel a bad experience.

Staff was high on drugs. Physically saw paraphernalia as well as smelled drug odor coming from room I was directed to go to b/c office was closed (during normal check in hours listed on website). First room given to us smelled distinctly and strongly of urine. Second room didn’t smell great but we made due d/t no other options. Broken window in bathroom. Neighbors loud and creepy. Felt unsafe. Dirty unkempt site in general. Morning continental breakfast was a joke. Same old bread and donuts from previous days just put out again after no one ate them. Requested hairdryer. Staff said previous one had been “stolen.” Gave me one with a nail sticking out of the back wall mount portion. Whole experience was terrible. Would NOT recommend.

The people that work front desk live in the first hotel room. Office doesn’t open until 8 am, it closed when ever they Felt like it. I think they are drug addicts. The our side is sketchy as well

I'll pass on this one next time

When we pulled up I thought to myself, I really messed up. It looked like it wasn't in the best part of town. I really thought about turning around and leaving. I went ahead and checked in. The lady was nice and efficient. The room was actually nice and clean. Beds were comfy. If your just needing to sleep for a few hours, it's good. Would I stay there again? No
