HOSHINOYA Tokyo - Tokyo
Japanese hospitality at its very best. Very nice rooms, although not large in size, even compared to other top hotels in town. Staff is very engaging, yet it is an oasis of peace where privacy and discretion is guaranteed. Do not expect western style f&b, but if you need your coffee fix, there are many alternatives nearby.

An Oasis in Tokyo.
This is a lovely Ryokan style inn with an Onsen Spa. The rooms are largely and beautifully appointed. There is a common area with traditional Japanese snacks and teas. Other beverages also available. This is traditional Japanese style inn - you leave your shoes at entrance. Straw mat floors. The Onsen divided by gender is on 17th floor and is very nice. There is a 7-11 right outside so you can get other snacks if needed. The hotel car entrance is located in a garage and very few cab drivers could find it even with the hotel’s address card which was very very frustrating. The hotel is in a business center so it is not the most convenient. This is a great choice if you are looking for something traditional Japanese, contemporary and romantic. Not the best of you plan on aggressive sightseeing.

Outstanding service
This really is an exceptional hotel in terms of service and comfort. The location is ideal for travelling not only around Tokyo but also the rest of Japan as it is around a 12 minute walk to Tokyo station. The hotel is right in the heart of the financial district so it is very quiet on the weekends which can be a nice change from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo. The daily room rates are high but if you look to book for five nights or more you can usually find offers. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Loved the interior design/architecture. Room was much smaller than expected based on promotional photos.
