The place was ok. Staff was very friendly, hotel on a great location on the beach, room was ample but no privacy for getting dressed if your going with family. Beds were comfortable. We were told not to use to tub because of a sewer issue so that was a bummer as my kids were looking forward to soaking in the tub. No TV and bad wifi signal. Overall I feel like the price per night is not worth the stay.

View was good by the beach but the room I reserved was 2 bed were they give me a room with only one bed ... beside the place outside was very dirty ... old stuff in each corner ... staff in the front really bad customer service... never got a room service... toilet sink was overflowing... sorry not happy

They had a couple of issues with the lady in the frontdesk not knowing how to handle paid reservations, but after that everything was great and it was right next to the beach.

Property was unique in the thematic room decoration. However, the craftsmanship is shoddy and the quality of food, food and service was poor. They claimed to have WiFi but it was not working in the (Asian) room we got. Exorbitantly priced food that’s not really authentic. Mostly caters to the Teaditional American pallete

Staff was extremely friendly, very helpful. Great views from the room. Room was clean. The hallways to the room were not. Not a hugh selection of restaurants. But over all a great place.

I read all the reviews posted prior to booking this hotel and I just can’t see why people would post a negative review. We stayed here mid June and had a wonderful visit. We arrived and immediately got our room and given all the info we needed to know. The room was amazing and the patio was even better. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and everything worked perfect. Everyone from the front desk to the restaurants were super friendly. We parked our car and never needed it again. Everything is in walking distance that we needed. We felt safe the entire time. We will come back and will stay here again. The beach access is a little crazy if you have walking / stair problems. It’s pretty steep and the walk up was longer than I thought it was going down 😆 the beach was amazing. We saw dolphins and whales from our patio. I would not really recommend the Thai restaurant. We ate there the first night we arrived and all of our food was under cooked and overall not good. I ordered the fish tacos and they were raw in the middle and my husband ordered the pad Thai and it was even worse. We did not try the other restaurant in the hotel but will next time. The service was really good and the drinks are priced well. The hotel was quiet and peaceful. Can not wait to come back.

I adore by this hotel! It is artistic, warm, and full of bohemian charm. Everything was colorful, new, and clean. I originally booked the smallest room, decorated 50s style, cozy but w/o an oceanview and had planned to stay 2 nights. When i extended my trip the lovely owner graciously upgraded me to the Moroccan suite, which is so gorgeously decorated that you'll feel like royalty! The room has a romantic canopy draped above the bed, a fireplace, a patio, and a full view of the ocean. The shower was beautifully tiled and had lots of hot water which is rare for baja! Tony at the front desk was really sweet and helpful. There's no gated parking but they have security cameras and a guard watching the lot 24/7. The hotel has an in-house restaurant and the manager was extremely accommodating. The barman at the thai restaurant was also very charming and funny. The food was delicious and I sat by the fireplace while a musician serenaded me. They treat you like family at this hotel! I go down to baja almost every month to go horseback riding in Mision with Jose and will definitely be staying at Poco Cielo from now on!!
