Pleasant Independent Motel
I was very comfortable here. My room was spacious, with a king bed, dinette, minifridge, microwave, and computer desk. The motel is probably from the 50s or 60s, but has been kept up well. Owners are pleasant and flexible; I believe they live on the grounds, so are available when needed. Very convenient to the main street and the Interstate, but not too much traffic noise. Grounds and pool are well kept. Stayed there during the total eclipse, whose centerline was about 40 miles away. Motel was full but owners refused to gouge eclipse viewers. Nice job, you two! I would be a repeat customer.

Not great.
The hotel was really nice on the outside. The inside was worn and dated. When we entered the room it was really warm as one of the windows in the rear was wide open. The beds and bedding were very uncomfortable. As for cleanliness we found a pair of underwear in the room, on the floor. Other than that it was ok.

Very clean and updated local owned motel.
Very clean room. An older motel that has been well updated. Check in and staff were excellent. This is a very fine local owned family business. Good restaurants a short drive away. Good access to Blue Ridge Parkway. Rocking chairs were great! Strong Wi-Fi

Nice Getaway for Two
This motel reminded me of past years when I was growing up and taking family vacations to the mountains. I was located within an easy drive of several tourist attractions and still away from the nearby commercialized communities. The motel is dated, but has comfortable beds, nice showers and cable TV. For a short stay for a couple, it is a perfect getaway. My only complaint was the nightly rare was a bit too high.
