Lovely old building with crow-stepped roof gables, plus a delightful original tiled fireplace in the cafe.However, there is nothing old fashioned about the cafe, bar and hotel. My room was simple,light and airy, furnished in Scandi style - bare wood, unfussy furniture, but all essentials there for comfort. Perfect for me.

Owner Elliot is personable and lobby restaurant is much cleaner, lovelier, and comfortable than the actual hotel. Lower hallways and elevator/lift is full of mold, and you can smell it all the way up. The bath had mold in its grouting. Although a few lamps are provided, there are no outlets to plug them in. Advertised water was not provided at all. We booked a specific room, was assigned another room type without our simple consent or any discussion—therefore we had to check-in twice, carry luggage twice, up/down on the lift to rectify the error and lack of communication.

This is a beautiful, clean and friendly hotel conveniently situated near the town centre and square and around a 20 minute walk from the station. Great staff, great, affordable breakfast and beautiful portraits on the wall in the hotel cafe.

Small room that is offputting because of wall color (brown) and ceiling color (dark brown). One of the bedstand lights wasn't working. No closet available. Maybe it was me but I couldn't get the shower to work. Bath was fine, though. No shampoo or bath gel was provided. Albert Heyn supermarket across the street is great! Hotel has a great location near restaurants and bars and in downtown. Fairly close to train station.

Basic, clean, friendly
Basic rooms, clean and quiet. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is delicious. The hotel could use a little upkeep on thinks like bathroom tile grout, but if that does not bother you, this place is great value for money.
