facilities provided are not worth for the price. but staff was ok. Did not have hot water during the first night and no one was there in the reception to inform after 10.30pm.(but they fixed it next day morning when we informed)

Nice View from the Mountains but Secluded
Kandy Highlands is pretty isolated with nothing else around it such as shops or restaurants. I originally chose it for the view but with there being so much to do didn't really have time to enjoy it. Also pretty loud as all of the rooms are connected to one common area, for light sleepers like me not ideal. The room was pretty big and clean.

Too far off, but quiet and clean
This place is literally at the end of the road up the mountain. Fine if you just want to stay there in the evenings, but the place was so quiet (seemed there was only one other pair staying there) and nothing else close by, and we didn't want to take a tuk tuk up the hills in the dark (especially in the evening rains), so we changed hotel after one night. Hotel itself is fine, nice rooms. Staff all seemed very new and not very helpful, spoke very little english and for instance didn't have any change when we were paying our dinner bill. Few menu options, doesn't serve beer. View is beautiful in the morning, and in the evening you can see the lights from the city and the clouds rolling in.
