Great hotel, but rooms need general maintenance.
Vouk (Room 411): PROS: *Secure/bolted safe to store valuables; *Blackout shades keep room dark; *Large spacious room, bathroom & shower; *Strong shower water pressure and very hot water; *Great location walkable to Georgetown, Gurney Drive and just across street from Northam Beach Cafe night market, Starbucks, pharmacy, & 24hr mini-mart; *Large workstation area and TV; *Plenty of closet/drawer space; *Four lifts so never a wait; *Nice, cozy lobby; *On-site café/restaurant; *Rooftop pool & views; *Do not disturb & housekeeping signal lights; *Universal travel plug at workstation; *Plenty of room lighting options; *Friendly staff. CONS: *Needs room maintenance to fix leaky sink/pipe causing water pool on bathroom floor; recaulk toilet at floor; clean/replace dirty/peeling wallpaper; ceiling stains; damaged wood flooring; ceiling vent above toilet drips water on your head; *WIFI connection resets each time you leave WIFI range so you continually need to reenter username/password; *Poor soundproofing from doors both between suite room & hallway; *Bed is comfortable but seems a bit shaky/unstable; *Hotel lobby is nice and hotel itself looks great/modern from outside, but interior hallways to rooms are very dated and could use modernization (new carpet/flooring, paint); *On-site cafe, Indulgence Lounge, claims to be open until 8p, but on 28 May I arrived 7.55p to place quick to-go dessert order but cafe closed with employees sitting at tables on their phones; *RM100 room deposit.
Dirty, old wallpaper should be replaced.
Nice spacious room with large comfortable bed, large workstation, large TV, and plenty of cabinet and drawer space.
Damaged wood flooring (just this one area, but it should be addressed).
Peeling wallpaper needs to be replaced.

Cleanliness not up to par. Cups have stains in them and the kettle was not cleaned (foul smell inside the kettle. I think the previous customer might have cooked something in it. It goes to show that the housekeeping people did not even check the kettles or cups in the room. Although location is excellent but the cleanliness need some work.

This hotel was rated as a four star hotel, that would not be a correct assessment, it is more like a 2 star or possibly a 3 star. We booked two rooms, the first room TV did not work and the A/C did not work. There was trash behind the curtain that was not cleaned from the previous guests. The second room hot water did not work. The staff was great and helped move us from the first room to another room. This room had an adjoining door to another room and we could hear that family very clearly throughout the night.

Poor receptionist and Internet services.
Room is pretty standard. For a 4 star hotel, it's over rated as there are not much facilities available like international standard restaurants, good sized swimming pool etc. Receptionist was very solemn and does not respond congenially to questions. If fact, she seems oblivious to questions posed like she's deaf (but there is no sign / badge to evince that) Worst part was the free Internet in the rooms. They give you a voucher for user name and password for 3 devices. First day we managed to log on for 2 devices. After that 1 device then 3rd day, cannot log on at all. We complained to front desk and they sent someone, then for about 15 minutes we can log on. After that, back to square one. So we have no choice but to use our own mobile data. Very poor Internet services as if they control the access.
