A comfortable stay in the Bay Area.
This is a new motel. The staff is polite and professional. The suite format of the room was quite comfortable. We found a baseboard level tile at the bathroom door which had detached from the wall. Maintenance fixed it within minutes. I appreciate the ease of being able to watch Netflix on the TV. The bed was comfortable, and we slept well, even though Hwy 101 could be seen nearby. It was very quiet. There are plenty of outlets and USB ports. There is not much nearby in terms of restaurants or entertainment, but that didn’t matter. We just wanted a quiet place to sleep.

Modern hotel with housekeeping and water issues
The road leading up to the hotel was in poor condition, it was literally in the middle of an industrial center and was in dire need of repaving. The hotel itself was beautiful inside and modern, very welcoming with a large bowl of chupa chup lollipops the girls both enjoyed daily. Check in was a breeze and professional. The rooms were nice and clean, the furniture was all furnished by West Elm so super modern and well made. There was a pull out sofa bed in the sitting area and a small cabinet door housed the mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was pretty good. Some days better than others but solid fare: oatmeal, toast, assorted breads, scrambled eggs, breakfast meat, spinach and toppings to make breakfast bowls, a waffle maker, cereals and yogurt. Really good coffee. The negatives: our room mini fridge had food in it from the previous guests... we had to throw away a ton of half eaten food. When housekeeping came that first day, we realized it was a housekeeping problem, trash was not taken out, my daughter had a bloody nose and the small drops on the floor and cabinet were not wiped off, dirty glasses were not replaced. This continued for most of our stay, not impressed. Water pressure in the shower was non existent

Bad Times At Springhill
I have now stayed here 3 separate times and will be booked out throughout most of June 2018 for business. I really wanted to give this place all smiley faces and good ratings but time and time again the staff has proven that re-training is a MUST! The lack of courtesy and common sense is disturbing for such a new hotel. Mark and Martin both being apart of this re-training group. Long and short when you ask a question be prepared to ask the same question 3 times to try and hope to get an answer that would make sense. Also, don't place an order for food through Mark, he tends to forget to give the message to the kitchen. Oh and do not ever ask for water for the coffee or creamer because that is only offered to those that are on the "top floors". Spoiler Alert: The same floor I was on last week. If this hotel wasn't so close to my job and wasn't super clean, thanks to the hard working cleaning crews, I would never come back. But there are some gems here that I have met, including the gal down at in their restaurant who is super customer oriented and always has a smile for you. Re-train your staff and take a look at your policies for all of your guests, especially the ones that stay here regularly. Your reputation is already circulating the other high end hotels near the South San Francisco area. (i.e. the Hilton) where I was warned about the questionable customer service, I now see what they were talking about.

The hotel is very nice and comfortable. Perfect for business trips -- there are large desks to work at. Food in the bar area is adequate. My only complaint is that the pillows are not very comfortable.
