Room was run down and really small; especially when you have a second /rollaway bed set up. There was no door on the bedroom and the toilet was inside the bedroom so there was no privacy. We were put in a room where there is an ajoining room. The doors are heavy and slam loudly; we were constantly woken by the people coming in and out of the adjoining room. Its weird when its two strangers having this! Only one lift worked the whole time and this led to huge lineups and you couldnt access the stairs without staff escorts so it wasnt easy to move around. Staff were friendly, location is great, and breakfast was good. Parking at the hotel was the most expensive ive ever come across $35 per day, and there is nowhere appropriate to park anywhere near the hotel at all so you have no choice but to pay this; it was disappointing especially with the cost of the stay vs the quality of room and facilities. Gym is an empty hotel room, not a proper gym.

The booking photos looked amazing and we were looking forward to a luxury stay. However, the building was older than expected. The initial room we were given wasn't cleaned properly and was visibly dirty with uneven carpet. After calling reception and complaining, we received fantastic customer service and were were shown several other rooms and moved into the room of our choice. We had a awesome view of the river and bridge. The room was not as luxurious as we'd hoped, but much cleaner. It is a short walk to restaurants at Howard Smith Wharves.
