First class B and B. Phil and Helen very welcoming, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the Lake District. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Delicious breakfast every morning and welcome cup of tea and shortbread when we arrived and returned after our days activity. Perfect in every way. 10 out of 10 well done.

Lovely hosts, nice room and great breakfast
Very enjoyable stay, this is a well-run B&B with lovely hosts who are both friendly and helpful. Even before we arrived, we had received helpful directions to find them and some recommendations for local places to eat out, enabling us to book them in advance. On arrival, we were offered tea and coffee with delicious home made shortbread in the lounge, very welcome after a long drive. Our room had fantastic mountain views and was warm and comfortable, with a good ensuite shower. Breakfasts were delicious and well-cooked. Phil was brilliant in helping us get the most from our visit, directing us to the best local sights, both on foot and driving. They are based close to some truly spectacular scenery. I celebrated my birthday during our visit and was very touched to find a bottle had been left in our room that day to mark the occasion. If you're looking for somewhere to stay in the Keswick area then I would definitely recommend Hermiston Guest House

Everything was first-class, we would happily stay here again and would certainly recommend Hermiston guest house to anyone going to Keswick. Food was excellent, bedroom and lounge were spotless, beds were very comfortable. Would be difficult to beat!

Absolutely wonderful stay here. We stayed 2 nights. Had a great first floor room with great views of the mountains. Felt very welcome despite covid limitations. Loved the small touches like the coffee and biscuits in the lounge. Excellent breakfast. Plenty choice. Would highly recommend.

Phil and Helen were incredibly helpful and hospitable during our stay this weekend! Going what felt like above and beyond for us and other guests. The rooms were cleaned daily, and were lovely for what we needed. The breakfast was fantastic, hot and plentiful. Each time we arrived back to the guest house, we were offered tea and coffee which was lovely! Having not stopped in a guest house before, I was apprehensive as to what I was expecting. But again, Phil and Helen completely exceeded my expectations. I could not find a single fault with our stay! Thank you for a lovely weekend! We will definitely be back!

Best weekend break ever
Fantastic stay, one of the best we have ever had, The owners go above and beyond, for example you could be out all day and when you return they offer to make you tea or coffee and give you home made short bread or cake etc. Although you have this facility in your room. You then get to sit in the living room and they ask about your day and give you loads of tips and advise. Would defiantly recommend and if you are a photographer lover you will be in heaven

First class stay with the personal touch
We arrived on July 10th as returning guests for a five night stay and were greeted like long lost friends. Phil and Helen are consummate hosts, who do their utmost to make your stay as worthwhile as possible. The room is clean and well equipped with an en suite shower and tea and coffee making facilities. Fresh milk is available if needed. Helen cooks an excellent cooked breakfast, the ingredients are all locally sourced and the food is delicious. Phil knows the Lake District very well and is happy to offer his local expertise and insight to maximise your visit, whether in terms of hikes, car parking or local knowledge. The guesthouse is only a five minute drive to Keswick with plenty of eateries to choose from. We chose The Sizzling Stone where you cook your own steak - delicious! Phil and Helen even bought us a bottle of Bucks Fizz for our wedding anniversary. We would definitely return for a third time.
