Great location close to Ribiera. Hotel is an original building and refurbished to a very high standard. Reception and lounge is very quiet. We stayed at the rear of the hotel for a quiet room so you compromise on the view but very peaceful. Rooms at the front have a view but the road below is busy most of the time so can be noisy.

Really nice hotel in a good position for exploring the city. The room was good but as in many hotels the lighting was poor. It needed mirror and a desk with good lighting. Staff was very helpful with every question or need we had, including restaurant suggestions, tours, church services, taxis, bus and train schedules, etc. And the location is centrally located in the middle of everything. Plus you get a complimentary nata pastry and glass of porto upon arrival! Wonderful!
