During the winter, when the sun goes early, it is nearly impossible to spot the hotel from the road. No light near the hotel sign. Staffs are friendly and nice but this hotel is overrated! With the similar price, I could've found the hotel with a private onsen in the room and free limitless drinks plus a halfboard.

The hotel is located a little further away from the JR station. While the hotel offers pick up service from and to the JR station, it is accessible only by taxi (about 800 yens) if you want to go out to the town center. Wifi signal is too weak, and virtually not usable.

A bit out of the way, but they offer a free pick up from the station. The beds were nice and so was the onsen. The dinner was very small compared to other ryokan and average overall. Breakfast was a bit better. Other than that, the WiFi was very spotty and couldn’t keep a connection for very long.

Cheap dinner & breakfast, location is bad.
Luckily we only stayed one night, the room was good and has a balcony facing a nice view. The osen area was very small and DIRTY. The dinner & breakfast were unexpected so bad, small potion and the beef were not fresh. No coffee for breakfast! Cheap!
