Poor A/C in a great location
Beautiful building, excellent service. Great location in Baixa, very close to lots of exciting evening places in Bairro Alto. Only problem was that the A/C was next to nil, sweat all throughout every night. Talked to the receptionist about it the first night and it seemed like the norm. Also, not sure if they have a certain number of rooms for third party bookings but ours seemed to be dingier than the rest of the building - baseboards knocked out and looks like something eroded the wall above them throughout the room. Door to the bathroom also a window and no fan, so didn’t offer much privacy.

Poor service
For the most part the room was comfortable with the exception of the air conditioner not working properly. My husband went to the front desk to see if there was something that they could do about it. Every time we spoke to someone the story changed as to why it wasn’t working well. They offered a different room but it was even hotter. In the morning we asked to speak to a manager regarding the poor air conditioning and temperature control in the room and the front desk refused to let us speak to them. (They were not on the premise but could call them.). When we left at 2pm there still was not a manager on duty. My husband also over heard the front desk tell the manager that we were “just Americans complaining” not realizing that he could understand them.

Walking distance from cruise port, with many things to see all around it. All of the staff were amazing- particularly Rodrigo! A bit higher in price than we would have liked, but we were pleased with the facilities, location and especially the staff.
