8/10 Very good

We chose this hotel as a last minute booking and were very pleased with the location, even with a room overlooking the town, it was extremely peaceful, even with the windows open all night! very small car park, but we did find parking up the street by the town hall. Very comfortable beds, good facilities. The hotel is a very old building so I expected it to be a little tired in places, it is not a Premier inn or a Hilton, so it has character. Breakfast was nice, if a little limited in selection compared to other hotels I have stayed in, the eggs were not very nice! would have been nice to have fried or poached.

Lovely hotel
Lovely old hotel with great sea views from our spacious and well decorated room. The service from staff at Reception and in the restaurant was excellent- we will definitely be back. Incredibly good value compared with other hotels in the area. We took advantage of the three course dinner which I probably wouldn't do again because the standard of food wasn't great. It was very convenient not to have to leave the hotel to eat though after a day of walking! The breakfast was very good though.

A beautiful old hotel. Effort has gone into up to date renovations. Looked like the rug didn’t get vacuumed, but staffing shortages are affecting everyone.

We were upgraded on arrival to a larger room. Bed was comfy, room was clean and spacious and it looked like the furnishings were on the newer side. The property itself is obviously in need of some work and modernisation, but it was good value for money and conveniently located. No parking on site - there is a public car park a few minutes walk away, which is free overnight.
