Not good.
I couldn’t spend more then one night here. The walls are so thin that you can hear other people in the hostel as clearly as if they were in the room with you. If you’re a light sleeper it’s a nightmare. I had paid for three nights and was denied a refund for the two nights I didn’t use. Total waste of money. Never again.

Nice place
We chose this place because we wanted to experience staying in a typical japanese house; and we loved it. The owner was kind allowing us to leave our luggages upon check out, because our train was in the evening.

Needs improvement
The house could use major improvement. The room is a little crowded. 1 small room. 4 bunkbeds. 8 ladies. The shower is good and the toilet is clean. The kitchen utensils - dirty. I am not sure if the pot or the frying pan is still being use - but it was there - so I assumed its to be used. Location-perfect. Easy access to train & bus station and convenient stores. I even walked from kyoto statio all the way to the guesthouse. I ddnt mind the over 1km walk. It was a good walk with temples along the way. Receptionist - helpful and friendly.

It's a nice place. I like the little garden and the traditional house. The service served by a lady was very good and have a nice smile. Difficult to find the bus to there
