Wilton Castle - Enniscorthy
A castle experience.
Wilton Castle offers a unique experience. Finding it is not so easy but once you arrive everything is charming. Our suite was like a one bedroom apartment. Fully outfitted kitchen for those who might want to cook. There is no restaurant on premises however you can order breakfast for an additional fee. The town of Enniscorthy is not far and has some very nice restaurants. We ate at Via Venetian and had excellent Italian food. At the Alamo the cod was delicious. David greeted us on site and explained the castle history. Sean saw us off after our 2 night stay. We heartily recommend for an off the beaten path experience.

Now my children want a castle!
Stunning property with the most gorgeous views. We were greeted on arrival and shown to our apartment. It was beautifully decorated and had so much space for our family of 5 to spread out. The owners were wonderful and took the time so walk the ruins with us and explain the history. We can not wait to visit again!

Luxurious Enchantment
Our stay at the Wilton Castle exceeded our expectations! David met us as soon as we arrived, greeted us warmly and provided maps of local markets, restaurants, and pubs. The Thornhill Suite where we stayed is spacious and impeccably clean; the perfect place for our family of five to enjoy time together. The inside of the castle is beautifully designed and decorated and the kitchen is fully appointed with every amenity we needed to prepare meals together. While the inside of the castle is elegant and comfortable, the outside is an enchanting and magical space to explore, including a stream for fishing! We loved walking around the expansive grounds and the ruins of the old half of the castle. The Wilton Castle provided an experience like no other location we've seen, by providing every luxury we could want inside the castle and access to the historic and enchanting ruins to experience outside. Our stay at the Wilton Castle was the highlight of our week long trip to Ireland! We can't wait to return for a longer stay next time! We highly recommend it!

Simply perfect
We came for a night and stayed for three. Absolutely perfect in every way. Four room suite in a beautifully restored castle with excellent heating, a wood fire if you prefer it, and everything well thought through. No doorman, no bar, no noise, no hassles. David could not have been more helpful. Note it is self catering, food or full scale supplies are 15 minutes away in Enniscorthy with small shop a bit nearer. Instructions sent automatically by the booking site are rather limited listing address as Bree. You will need a good map or pref gps mapping to find that tiny village, no sign there so stay on the main road heading north for about 2Km. Wilton Garden (unrelated commercial nursery) sign on the right, and large entrance and sign for castle on left. Possible to miss both at night. Approaching from north, if you get to Bree turn around! Really this is worth finding if you want luxury and country peace.

It's like your own private castle!
This castle was the ultimate honeymoon experience as it felt like the castle was just for us. This castle has only a few suites and each one was in fantastic shape! Quite remote but close to Enniscorthy for food and activity. Overall it was excellent!
