Simple Stay at Boutique
Hotel near and walking distance to Bukit Bintang area. Hotel is comfy. Service is great. However the shower have this weird smell believe to be smoke. perhaps previous stay smoked in the toilet.

A Darling Hotel
Absolutely loved the whole concept and design of this darling hotel. The staff were very friendly and warm and the location was perfect.

Poor 2.0
Poor house keeping, slimy shower, dirty towels
The first room I was given had two beds that were so old, the sharp wood laminates were sticking out and cut my 5 year old son when he climbed up. I complained to the manager and she gave me a new room with free size upgrade. In the new room, I slipped on the dark tiled shower floor. Touching it, I discovered there was literally a thick layer of yellowish pinkish scum. I called the manager to the room she saw with her own eyes the jelly-like slime that would cling to my finger when I ran it across the floor. She quickly summoned the cleaners to scrub it clean and offered me a free dinner at the hotel. I returned to my room to finish my shower but realised every single towel is old and shredded and stained at random areas. I looked at the bed sheets and even the pillow cases had holes. I’ve stayed at motels in 3rd world countries and even they gave new towels and new sheets. I’m absolutely appalled that the KL Journal has such low standards of house keeping. It was clear that cleanliness and hygiene is not a priority here and decided to forgo the free dinner offered to me. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone traveling with children. Heck... I would not even recommend it to anyone at all. The facilities look new but at its core, it’s poorly maintained and old. I was pointless to complain any more to the manager. Even on the 2nd day when they changed the towels, I got a new set of old, shredded and stained ones. Please refer to my photos
