A luxury gem....just don't tell everyone!
We stayed for two nights in February and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The staff are all very professional, friendly and helpful. With only fifteen rooms, this feels like a very exclusive place and nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed in the Morbey room which was beautifully appointed; the room was vast with an extremely comfortable bed, luxury bathroom and high quality linens and toiletries. Breakfast was lovely, with a wide choice of freshly cooked options as well as fruit, pastries and cereal. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was exceptional. So glad we did, as it wasn't open on the second night. The hotel is undergoing work to expand its wedding facilities, but we were not disturbed by any of it and in fact it was interesting to see what was going on. The workmanship looked to be very high standard, which will complement the current building and features. The grounds are stunning, with spectacular views of Ely cathedral and the surrounding countryside. Our only point to mention is the road noise which could be heard from our room. It was freezing cold while we were there (although not in the hotel I would add at all) but would think if you wanted the window open in warmer weather, it could be more noticeable. That said, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back with friends.

Restful stay
Helpful friendly staff. Very calm and relaxing stay. Lovely warm fires to sit by and read. Wildlife in the grounds enjoyable to watch. Location allows access to numerous places of interest.
