Beautiful location and friendly staff. After checking in, India offered to take a photo of us in the snow flurries that had started at our arrival. Cool rustic mountain feel.
Clean, well maintained, friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast, somewhat small, but comfortable room, beautiful location, view of Mount Rushmore from grounds.
The view of side of Mount Rushmore was an amazing you can see the side of George Washington face on my balcony beautiful Resort great location
This hotel was great!! Wishing I would have booked it for our whole stay. Clean friendly staff great breakfast!!
This was a great place to stay. The breakfast was good despite the covid restrictions (bacon and eggs not just cereal) we were here in the fall so a bit chilly, but we sat outside on the deck to relax.(Had a nice coffee/lounge but was shut due to covid) They had a bonfire. We did not attend. Checkin staff were friendly and helpful. Beds looked a bit worn but were super comfortable. Good location near Mt Rushmore or hiking trails in the state park. Short distance from town but most eating places were shut down for the season (or covid?). Went to Custer to eat.
Perfect location if you want to go to Mt. Rushmore and in a nice little area. Staff was friendly and room was big for the price.
Great stay ! Wish we could stay longer
All very good, nice and clean. Room 215 window completely blocked by front sign; Not an issue unless you are looking for a view. Short drive to town.
I highly recommend this hotel if you are not bothered by swarms of wasps. The location is fantastic, the room was aged but clean and the service was friendly. The biggest attraction to this hotel is its many balcony views of Mt Rushmore. Unfortunately, the balconies (and pretty much everywhere outside) was busy with wasps. There were nests on my balcony. At first I thought I was just unlucky, but then I noticed that the wasps were on all the other balconies too. I have never experienced so many bees/wasps. I am not allergic, nor afraid but found it impossible to sit outside until the evening.
Very comfortable, clean & friendly people. Doors coming in and out of our 'area' were very loud.
