Okay at best
I was in the annex and the walls were very thin (I could someone snoring in the room next door). The room was clean but a little tired, and the mattress was very firm. I wouldn't call this a country house hotel. Food was average, as was service.

The building is Georgian, 0ver 200 years old but in excellent condition and well modernised in terms of of furnishings and ensuite facilities. Excellent picturesque gardens. The dining room and menus offered for breakfast and evening meals were fine. Being Grade II listed there was no lift which might be a problem for some people.
